Welcome to the 9th World Congress of the International Microsimulation Association

The Austrian Institute of Economic Research (`WIFO`_) hosted the 9th World Congress of the International Microsimulation Association (`IMA`_) at the University of Vienna from 8 to 10 January 2024. Over 170 participants from all over the world shared their knowledge and experience on the development and use of microsimulation models. In a dense three-day programme, a wide range of papers on microsimulation topics were presented and discussed.

The `IMA`_ promotes the free inter-change of experience and ideas between practitioners of microsimulation worldwide. It is of interest to creators and users of microsimulation models in international organizations, governments, academia, and the private sector.
